This is a family-like event. - Entrance: By entering or participating in the Harrisburg Radio Amateur Club
(HRAC) Hamfest, you agree to hold harmless HRAC (the renter) and the Vietnam
Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 542 (the sublet landlord) for losses or injury of
property and person, and are subject to HRAC and VVA directives. VVA is our
event landlord only: Please don’t contact them about our club activities! They
will not have any knowledge to help you. Go to: www.w3uu.org
A. You must pay to enter. Attempting to avoid payment for entrance or other
requested fees is considered statutory fraud. See item 5 below.
B. A paid ticket is given to you at the designated entrance, which is your entrance
token. The ticket also is used to award prizes — pulled randomly and at a time
designated by the event, and publically announced inside the building. The
more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning! All award
decisions are final. Once you enter the premises, there is NO refund.
C. If you leave the grounds, your entrance ticket stub is your re-entry token.
D. Children 12 years of age and under are free. Licensed and non-licensed
individuals over 12 years of age pay the full entrance fee.
E. Minors under age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult or lawful guardian. - Professional security is not provided by HRAC and VVA. You are responsible for
monitoring your own table and person. - NO illicit activities: that means NO visibly intoxicated persons from alcohol,
illegal drugs or activities, evasion of fees, camping, or other unacceptable
behaviors permitted on the property. Suspected persons will be asked to leave 1)
voluntarily, or 2) by local or state police. No exceptions! HRAC and VVA reserve
the right to expel anyone without cause. - NO overnight camping is permitted. Camping or parking overnight and/or
before set-up or entrance time is considered statutory trespassing by the owners
of the property. Volunteers should be available after 0500L to permit early
entrance for 0600L INSIDE set-up of VENDORS. Opening time is 0700L for
shoppers and general public. (Also see item 5.) - Be kind and obey any direction from hamfest workers (wearing reflective vests).
They are volunteers who are there to answer questions and safely direct activities.
Please don’t ask them to load or unload your goodies — liability prevents them
from doing that. …And we ain’t getting younger! - Thank you for coming & 73!
