August 2025 Meeting Minutes

W3UU Meeting minutes from August 13th, 2025 18:30 hrs.

Introductions of members and guests, 10 members and 2 visitors

Secretaries report posted on W3UU.ORG website

Treasurer report – not present, none given

Laurel VE Committee – Test session Aug 13th, 2 participants expected.

Trustee Report – License has been renewed. Linking repeater information is expected by Friday (8/15) linking with the 440 repeater.

Membership committee, no change from past month

Webpage, need to post future VE Testing dates on website.

Emergency Comms – participated in National night out.  Interest was minimal.

Elmer time was on PC Board component population, surface vs thru board mounting

Hamfests – need flyers for distribution for OctoberFest and WinterFest. Winterfest is targeted for Jan 10th.

Adjournment – 7pm then elmer session.

HAM FEAST Don’t Miss out!

Annual Club Banquet (AKA Ham FEAST)

The 2025 HAM-FEAST will be at 6:00 PM at the PeachTree Restaurant and Lounge, 251 N Progress Ave, Harrisburg PA on February 12th, 2025. We have the back “room” area reserved, and each will be responsible for his, or her own bill. We will order from the regular menu. The menu is available online.

What to Expect:

There will be door prizes, 50/50 tickets, certificates, and the Ham Of The Year award presentation. All HAMs are welcome. Must be a member to be eligible for Door Prizes.
